Description

This vintage ring is crafted in 10k yellow gold and centers on a luminous oval opal cabochon surrounded by a halo of smaller opal accents in a richly textured prong setting.

The opals display a soft, milky body color with flashes of play-of-color, and the central stone shows noticeably stronger warm fire—reds, oranges, and golds—in person than is fully captured in photographs. The substantial gold mounting and tiered halo design are characteristic of mid-20th-century American jewelry.

The ring was made by Clark Ring Co. of Buffalo, New York, and dates to approximately 1943–1950. It is a US size 6.25. The band is stamped “10K” and retains a pleasing patina consistent with age.

The ring is in very good vintage condition, with light surface wear appropriate for its era and securely set opals.
