Royal limoges

The first porcelain factory in Limoges was founded in 1771. This small factory was under the protection of the Comte d'Artois, younger brother of Louis XVI, from 1774. Its director was Mr Alluaud, future founder of Royal Limoges.
10 years later, the Sèvres factory bought the small Limoges factory, to become “the royal factory of Limoges porcelain”.
