Description

This magnificent large punch bowl was adapted from a Chinese high fire blue bowl, circa 1797, located at Cliveden, a property of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, near Philadelphia. Mottahedeh's bowl is made of fine porcelain, and the design is faithful to the original. Bowls of this type, porcelain or silver, were considered essential to a household in order to entertain in a gracious manner.
