Raymond C Yard

Raymond C. Yard’s story is one of ambition, artistry, and enduring legacy. Beginning in 1898 at age thirteen, Yard joined New York’s Marcus & Co. as a doorboy and rose through the ranks, mastering every facet of jewelry making. In 1922, encouraged by none other than John D. Rockefeller Jr., he launched his own studio, and soon counted the Vanderbilts, du Ponts, and other distinguished clients among his patrons. Known for using only the finest gemstones and exquisite platinum mountings, Raymond Yard became synonymous with elegance and the Art Deco aesthetic. Upon his retirement in 1958, his protégé Robert Gibson took the helm, preserving the brand’s commitment to exceptional gemstones and craftsmanship. Today, under the direction of Bob Gibson, the Yard tradition continues — reviving its signature designs while honoring a heritage of timeless beauty.
