Description

The Lithophane (Votivelight TM) is a traditional engraving technique on a fine bisque (non-glazed) porcelain that was invented in Limoges, France in 1828. Bernardaud still uses the technique to craft beautiful votives that come in a wide variety of decors. The glow of the candle shines through the raised and carved surface of the votive, contrasting light against shadow and thus revealing its richly decorated design.

Our Core Values

More than 50 years ago, our founder, Art Arbutine, began offering rare coins at select shows and markets, while Pat Arbutine, Art's wife, cultivated a discerning eye for estate silver. From these humble beginnings, a legacy was born—rooted in a commitment to honesty, integrity and reliability.

Today, we continue to serve our clients with the same principles that guided us from the start. We curate heritage-quality pieces designed to elevate refined interiors and discerning lifestyles, always with a deep respect for craftsmanship, history, and trust.
